Pineapple has been piercing since 2000 and is the main modification artist at Shaman Modifications. He graduated from Kent State University with a double major in Anthropology and Archaeology with a focus on the social significance of body modification in mesoamerican cultures.
He moved to Austin in 2005 where he met his mentor, Bear, who was his most influential teacher as well as the source of the majority of his knowledge and expertise in the body modification field. Pineapple started Shaman Body Piercing & Modifications inside Golden Apple Studios in May of 2006 when his then employer, Mercy Body Piercing, left. Shaman has since grown and expanded over the years, with there now being Shaman Modifications Tattoo & Body Piercing located in North Austin, Shaman Modifications Body Piercing located in East Austin and Shaman Modifications Body Piercing located in Dallas.
